The Samsung Galaxy Fold is the world’s first foldable smartphone. It features a 7.3-inch main folding display and an additional 4.6-inch cover display. It packs top of the line hardware and features a handful of unique features. But, like any other smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Fold is not immune to errors, glitches, and other performance issues. If your device is running slow, not responding or acting up, a Hard Reset may be the solution.
Why is it Important to Reset Samsung Galaxy Fold?
Performing a reset may help when your device is running slow, overheats or is not responding properly. Resetting the device helps fix software bugs and glitches created by crashing and freezing programs. All user settings, apps, and other data will be deleted after a Hard Reset, so be sure to backed up data you want to keep. A Hard Reset on the Samsung Galaxy Fold can help when your device is unresponsive or apps don’t open properly. Ready to reset your Samsung Galaxy Fold? Here’s how:
How to Hard Reset Samsung Galaxy Fold?
Open up the Device Settings
Find and tap on the General Management tab
Tap on Reset and then select Factory Data Reset
Confirm that you want to reset the device on the resulting prompt
Accept the option to ‘Erase everything’
Wait for the phone to be reset
Samsung Galaxy Fold will reboot and start the setup process
And that’s it! Your Samsung Galaxy Fold should now be reset to factory settings. Keep in mind that all data stored on the device will be deleted, including apps, system settings, audio files, images, etc. Make sure to back up data you wish to keep before performing a Hard Reset.
If your Galaxy Fold isn’t turning on and a normal Hard Reset is not possible, you can try using the Recovery Mode option instead. Be sure your device is off and press the Volume Up button, the Bixby button, and the Power button simultaneously until the recovery screen appears. From there, use the volume buttons to navigate and select “Wipe data/Factory Reset.” Once it is complete, select “reboot system now” and your device will restart.
